Nearby Options to Consider

  • The Cayley Arms, Allerston: about 5 miles away, not open early week,
  • The Fox and Rabbit Inn, Lockton: loveley staff, great food, generally quick service (althoughh can get busy). Just a 5 minute drive, or 20 min walk through the forest. It's a long uphill walk to whet your appetite. Downhill all thye way on return.
  • The White Swan Inn, Pickering: For that special event, the White Swan treats you well.
  • The Horseshoe, Levisham: Sister Inn to the Fox and Rabbit. Very Interesting food and a very warm welcome

How to Choose

Ask Liz!. For a market town evening, Pickering gives more choice, with Indian, Italian, Chinese and other bistros.. For a pretty village stop, Thornton-le-Dale has Brandysnap Bistro (but book early). Lots of cafes, but food in the pubs can be hit and miss
